Within the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), the awareness-raising activity has a growing role as a preventive activity in the national cybersecurity framework. The NCSC Hungary regularly publishes information regarding cybersecurity, descriptions of incidents, harmful codes and vulnerabilities, IT security news, IT security press reviews, advices, protective measures, cybersecurity trends. Apart from this, the Center periodically (reflecting on trends and events) creates information reports, alerts, awereness infographics, funny educational memes and pictures, or awareness-raising animations.

Since 2019, we are actively present on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube which are more informal platforms of awareness-raising. These platforms are significant parts of the Center’s awareness-rising activity, thus we pay special attention to them.

The NCSC puts emphasis on organizing IT conferences, exercises and contests, as well as on participating as national coordinator in the European Cybersecurity Month held by the ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity). Significant events organized by NCSC are the National Cybersecurity Conference (, the HunEx and CyberEurope cybersecurity exercises and the Hungarian Cyber Security Challange technical cybersecurity contest.

The Center continouosly improves its awareness- rising activity with new and innovative ideas, out of which the most importnant parts are the following: regular presence in press; IT security escape room; IT awareness rising short films, animations; IT security podcast; periodically published e-learnings, IT security lectures and social engineering.
